Typhon Siege Tank Finished

Evening all.

Well, after much delay, the Typhon Siege Tank is finally finished. It’s been sitting mostly done for a few weeks now, just waiting for the final layer of weathering. Fortunately, I managed to get some time to finish her off so she can officially join the ranks of the Imperial Fists.

I managed to get my second game of Heresy over the weekend and I have to say I’m loving the system. It’s fantastic fun, with so many different options and variations with the army list. Once again the Imperial Fists faced off against their mortal enemies, and again, much was learned. I have to say that so far the Imperial Fists have put up an excellent account of themselves, led by the Typhon.

In regards to the Typhon’s performance, this thing is an absolute monster. It’s played in two Heresy games so far and dominated both. It’s gun is truly fearsome, and with AV14 all around and 6HP, feels like it would take something pretty special to put it down. In 2,000 points, this tank really puts the fear of the Emperor into people. If any of you are in doubt about writing lists and wondering what to field, I’d suggest you strongly consider this tank.

Cheers guys.

I do love the Typhon model and I just know I will have to get one at some point for my Death Guard, hearing how good it is in a game makes it even more tempting.

Love the finished model, the Fist yellow looks great with all of the weathering.

The only thing I would say is that the gun barrel does look very bright and shiny in the pictures, looks a little out of place with the rest of the vehicle.

Cheers Rictus! And thanks for the feedback!

The gun barrel is particularly shinny in the pics, although the contrast isn’t as strong in person. I deliberately avoided weathering the barrel as I thought this would be one of the areas the crew would ensure remained clean and functional above all else. I can see what you mean though, so I’ll think about taking some of the shine off it somehow, maybe a wash.

      Thanks for the feedback!
